Children of Peace is a Catholic elementary school in Chicago’s Illinois Medical District offering traditional and Montessori education,
as well as a specialized program for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Created in After Effects for Children of Peace’s 2020 Giving Tuesday campaign, using parent-submitted photos, testimonials, and remote-learning moments to highlight the school community during COVID-19.
I developed a recurring social media series using student testimonials, preserving their original handwriting and drawings and animating them in After Effects to bring their experiences at Children of Peace to life.
I reorganized and updated the school’s Wix website and created a custom icon system for its programs and activities.
The icons were then carried across other channels, including social graphics and print materials.
This trifold brochure introduced Children of Peace’s programs and school community, including before- and after-school care, arts, physical education, STEM, technology, and the school’s Peace Pledge.
The interior organized the school’s three educational programs into individual panels: traditional education, the Holy Trinity Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Program, and Montessori education.
Designed a direct mail piece promoting Children of Peace’s three educational programs to prospective families, working directly with the printer to prepare the piece for production.
Developed a coordinated stationery system for Children of Peace, including letterhead, envelopes, and business cards, extending the school’s visual identity across everyday communications.
Created for open houses and other recruitment events, this flyer promoted Children of Peace’s Holy Trinity Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Program while organizing a large amount of program, curriculum, and school information into a structured layout.
I developed an illustrated concept for Children of Peace’s five Social Emotional Learning pillars, using classical columns and the school’s dove mascot to translate responsible decision-making, self-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, and social awareness into kid-friendly visual metaphors.
I extended the concept into five individual posters for display throughout the school, pairing each illustrated metaphor with a simple explanation of the corresponding SEL skill.
